Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 September 2026
These terms apply when you use CrewLedger. We have tried to keep them readable, because you should be able to understand what you are agreeing to without a lawyer.
CrewLedger is operated by Miles Patrick Pywell, a sole trader trading as Crew Ledger (ABN 34 818 386 685).“We” and “us” mean that business. “You” means the business using CrewLedger.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using CrewLedger, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Who can use CrewLedger
CrewLedger is made for businesses, not for personal use. To open an account you must be at least 18 and have authority to agree to these terms for your business. Accounts are currently offered to businesses in Australia.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by workers you invite. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
If you add workers, they sign in with their own mobile number and see only the jobs and tasks assigned to them. You decide, job by job, whether they can see customer contact details.
What you can subscribe to
You can take either product on its own, or both together:
- Website — a website you edit yourself, with your own domain if you want one, and enquiries delivered to you.
- Business Management — customers, quotes, jobs, invoices and expenses, on the Starter, Pro or Business plan.
- Both — the two together, with 10% off the combined price.
Some features depend on your plan. Adding workers requires the Business plan. On the Starter plan you can create up to 10 jobs in each billing period — billing periods are monthly, so that is 10 jobs per monthly billing period — while the Pro and Business plans have no job limit. Other practical limits apply, such as 30 photos and 30 services on a website, and size limits on uploads.
Prices
Current prices, in Australian dollars, per month:
- Website — A$27
- Business Management Starter — A$19
- Business Management Pro — A$29
- Business Management Business — A$39
- Both products together — 10% off the combined price
We may change prices. If a change affects your subscription we will give you reasonable notice beforehand, and you can cancel if you do not want to continue.
Free trial
New subscriptions start with a 30-day free trial and no credit card is required to begin. You will not be charged during the trial.
To keep using CrewLedger after the trial you need to add a payment method. If you don’t, a paid subscription will not start and your access will end. Your data is not deleted when that happens — see “If your subscription ends” below.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, and renew automatically each month until cancelled. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own pages; we never see your card number.
If a payment fails, we may limit or suspend access to the service until it is resolved. We will generally give you a chance to update your payment details first.
Changing plan — moving between Starter, Pro and Business, or adding a product to an existing subscription — is not yet self-service. Email us and we will sort it out with you.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription & Billing, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then.
After your subscription ends, access to the service may be limited, including a temporary read-only period where available, so you have a chance to look at and copy your records. We can’t promise how long that lasts or that it will always be offered, so please don’t rely on it. Your data isn’t deleted when access ends — see If your subscription ends below.
Refunds
Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Cancelling part-way through a billing period does not create a refund for the rest of that period; your subscription simply runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
We may provide a refund or credit at our discretion where we think it is appropriate. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other rights that cannot legally be excluded — see Your rights under Australian Consumer Law below. If you think something has gone wrong with a charge, email support@crewledger.com.au and we will look into it.
Your data stays yours
Everything you put into CrewLedger — your customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, website content, images and files — remains yours.
To run the service we need your permission to store, copy, process and display that content: for example, to show your records back to you, to send a quote to the customer you choose, and to publish your website when you publish it. That permission is limited to operating and supporting CrewLedger. We do not use your business data or your customers’ details to advertise, and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for the content you enter, including having the right to use it and handling other people’s personal information lawfully.
Websites you publish
When you publish, your website becomes publicly visible, and the content is yours to stand behind — your services, prices, photos, claims and any reviews you enter. Don’t publish anything misleading, or anything you don’t have the rights to use.
You can connect your own domain name. You buy and keep that domain with your registrar and set the DNS records we give you; we don’t register or renew domains for you.
Published CrewLedger websites include a small “Powered by CrewLedger” link. There is currently no option to remove it.
Enquiries from your website are saved to your account and emailed to you. Email delivery depends on services outside our control, so we can’t guarantee every message arrives — check your enquiries in the product as well.
Hosting and publishing your website is part of an active Website subscription. When that subscription ends we may stop serving your published website at any time, so please don’t rely on it staying online once you are no longer subscribed. If you want to keep your content, copy it before your subscription ends.
Fair use of the service
Please don’t:
- use CrewLedger to break the law, or to send spam or unsolicited marketing
- upload malicious code, or try to break into, overload or interfere with the service
- try to access another business’s account or data
- publish content that infringes someone else’s rights, or that is misleading, abusive or unlawful
- impersonate someone else, or misrepresent your business
- resell or white-label CrewLedger without our agreement
Services we rely on
CrewLedger runs on services provided by others, including Stripe for payments and hosting, storage and email providers. Where you deal with one of them directly — for example entering card details with Stripe, or buying a domain from a registrar — their terms apply to that part.
Our intellectual property
The CrewLedger software, design, templates and brand are ours and stay ours. Using the service does not transfer any of that to you beyond the right to use it while you have a subscription.
Availability and changes
We work to keep CrewLedger running, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. There will be maintenance, and occasionally faults.
We may add, change or remove features as the product develops. If we make a change that materially reduces what you are paying for, we will give you reasonable notice.
Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using CrewLedger at any time by cancelling. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or has unpaid amounts outstanding. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will contact you first.
If your subscription ends
We do not automatically delete your data when a subscription ends. Access to the paid parts of the product stops, but your records remain in the account.
You can export invoices and expenses as a spreadsheet, and save quotes and invoices as PDFs. If you want a broader copy of your data, or you want the account and its data deleted, email us — see the Privacy Policy for how that works.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
Where we are legally allowed to limit our liability, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the service, or paying the cost of resupply.
Liability
Subject to the section above, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business or lost data; and our total liability in connection with CrewLedger is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
CrewLedger is a record-keeping and website tool. It is not accounting, tax or legal advice, and you remain responsible for your own tax and regulatory obligations.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you published through CrewLedger, or because you used the service unlawfully or in breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses we incur as a result. This does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and we will give you reasonable notice of material changes in the product or by email. Continuing to use CrewLedger after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
